Ronald Lee Caviness

Ronald Lee Caviness, age 86 of Martinsville, and formerly of Pulaski, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born on November 3, 1935 in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Mary Edith Via Caviness and the late Walter Lee Caviness.  Ronald was a veteran of the National Guard and was involved with furniture sales as a career.  He was a member of the Hill Memorial Baptist Church in Martinsville. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers; Douglas Neal Caviness, Tommy Caviness, and Carl Caviness.  He is survived by his son; Ronald Lee Caviness, Jr. of Henry County:  his daughter and son-in-law; Cynthia Ann Neely and her husband Steve of Collinsville;  brother; Wesley Caviness of Collinsville.  He is also survived by one grandchild; Traci Stanley of Myrtle Beach, SC, and two great-grandchildren; Will and Cole Stanley of Myrtle Beach, SC, along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Thornspring Cemetery with the Steve Neely officiating. There will be no visiting at the funeral home.
