Roger Hughes Obituary

Roger Douglas “Doug” Hughes, age 81 of Pulaski, died Saturday evening, February 11, 2023 at his residence.  Doug, was born in Pulaski on February 7, 1942, and was the son of the late Belva Bessie Nester Hughes and the late Charlie D. Hughes.  He was a longtime employee of Jefferson Mills for over 47 years in the Human Resource Department.  Doug was a veteran, and Sergeant of the United States Army Reserve, was a Baptist by faith, loved to take pictures, enjoyed wood working, and was a natural artist.  Especially when he was giving the artwork to someone he loved. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother:  Guy Dyre Hughes, who died in 2008.  He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years:  Eula Mae Meredith Hughes of Pulaski:  a special nephew;  James Edward “Eddie” Hughes and his wife Tammy of Pulaski:  a special God Daughter; Amy M. Hopkins of Pulaski. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Haynes officiating.  Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
