Roger Dale Bruce
Obituary
Roger Dale Bruce, 68 of Belspring, went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 30, 2021 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He was born on June 21, 1953 in Radford, and was the son of the late Gerlean Giles Bruce and Donald Louis Bruce.
Roger worked at Kollmorgen Corp in Radford for many years, and after his retirement, he enjoyed his life-long passion of fishing on the New River. He also was a graduate of the 1971 class of Dublin High School.
He is survived by his brother: Donald L. Bruce, Jr., and his closer than brother and life-long friend, Preston Beamer: Uncle; Harry Giles: cousins; Brenda Gilbert, Wallace Bruce, Wayne Bruce, Nellie Bruce Jones, Harry Giles, Jr., Buck Williams and special friends Cindy Clark and Michael Wood.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Belspring United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rachel Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
