Robert Lewis Hughes

Robert Lewis Hughes, age 92, of Pulaski, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond.  He was born on June 10, 1930 in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Pearl Irene Quesenberry Hughes, and the late Charlie Estel Hughes. 

Mr. Hughes retired as a foreman at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife:  Betty Jo Chaffin Hughes, and a brother, William Lee Hughes.

He is survived by one brother: Jackie Cooper Hughes, Sr. of Canton, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

A military honors ceremony will be conducted on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.  Entombment will follow the military ceremony.  Per Mr. Hughes request, there will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, or to a charity of your choice.
