Rickey Steven Mitchell

Rickey Steven Mitchell, age 63 of Pulaski, died Sunday afternoon at Richfield Health Center in Salem.  Rickey was born in Pulaski on October 5, 1959, and was the son of the late Margaret Beckner Mitchell and the late James Monroe Mitchell. 

He was a member of the Carter Street United Methodist Church in Radford, where he played the piano for many years. Rickey also played for many years at the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Pulaski.  He was a graduate of the Pulaski County High School, class of 1979, and received an Associates Degree at New River Community College in 1988.  Rickey was a long-time employee of the National Bank in Pulaski and also worked for many years at APCO,

He is survived by three brothers:  James Michael (Debby) Mitchell of Dublin, Harold Paul (Karen) Mitchell of Radford, and Ken M. (Missie) Mitchell of Pulaski: his sister; Cynthia (Boyd) Osborne of Edinburgh, VA.  Rickey is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, with Pastor Betsy King officiating.  There will be no public visiting at the funeral home.
