Hazel V. Covey

Hazel Vernell Dalton Covey, age 94 of Pulaski, died Sunday evening, December 25, 2022 at New River Valley Medical Center.  She was born in Draper, VA on September 26, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Minnie Lee Whitt Dalton, and the late Martin Isac Dalton.  Hazel retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in the materials management department.  She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Joseph Hambrick Covey, eleven sisters, and one brother. 

She is survived by her son:  Gary S. (Patricia) Cregger of Snowville:  daughers; Janet (Don) Gregory of Clemmons, NC, and Leesa Quesenberry of Pulaski.  Also survived by seven step-grandchildren, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Thornspring United Methodist Church Cemetery.
