Guy Marcus Bishop, Jr.

Guy Marcus Bishop, Jr., age 84 of Pulaski, died early Saturday morning, July 23, 2022 at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on May 10, 1938, and was the son of the late Helen Louise Slaughter Bishop and the late Guy Marcus Bishop, Sr.  Guy, was a veteran having served in the United States Army, and was a Certified Public Accountant.  He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1967, receiving First Honors in the School of Business.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, amateur photographer and loved spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother:  Jerry Wayne Bishop.  He is survived by his loving wife:  Nancy W. Bishop of Pulaski:  Sons; Marc and Nancy Bishop of Pulaski, Brian and Kelly Bishop of Pulaski:  Step-sons; Dwayne and Ellen D’Ardenne of Roanoke, and Derek and Laura D’Ardenne of CO:  Sister-in-law:  Kay Bishop:  Grandchildren:  Caroline Bishop, Hunter Bishop, Jeremy Bishop and his wife Beth, Emily Bishop: Step grandchildren; Declan D’Ardenne, Kellen D’Ardenne, and Dawson D’Ardenne.  Great-grandchildren: Abigail and Mackenzie Bishop.   

Funeral graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Martin Stokes officiating.  There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be:  Dwayne D’Ardenne, Derek D’Ardenne, Brian Bishop, Marc Bishop, Jeremy Bishop, Hunter Bishop, Cecil Sink, and Billy Bishop.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
