Dorothy Dee (Pratt) Cash

Dorothy Pratt Cash, age 97 of Pulaski, died Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Fairlawn.  She was born on June 16, 1926, in Ceredo, WVA, and was the daughter of the late Victor L. and Ruby Workman Pratt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie M. Cash, Jr., sister – Iris Jean Arthur and brother-in-law Don Arthur:  sister; Alice Douglas and brother-in-law Junior Douglas: nephew; Lloyd Douglas: brother; Charles Donald Pratt and sister-in-law Betty Pratt:  brother-in-law; Harry Surface, and stepmother, Dorothy Pratt Napier. 

She is survived by sister; Doris Pratt Surface; a brother, Lewis Pratt and wife Venessa; sister, Virginia Lois Pratt Gower;  niece; Linda Payne and husband Posey and great-niece; Sherry Boone and husband Robbie:  Great nephew; Mike Payne and wife Reyn and children, Campbell, Elsie and Anderson:  Niece; Nancy Ridley and husband Dennis:  Great nephew: Bo Ridley and wife Holly and children; Bryce, Josh Jackson and Ava:  great-nephew: Justin Ridley and daughter London.  Other nieces:  Donna Sue Vanhoose and Alice Jean Carley:  and other nephews; David Allen Douglas, and Gary Arthur, and other Great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

She enjoyed working on flower arrangements, needlepoint, gardening, and she traveled extensively with the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs.  She served as secretary of the Methodist Church and EMO Agency for many years in Warrenton, Virginia.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pulaski. 

A memorial service will be held at Seagle Funeral Home on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dwight Haynes officiating.  The family will receive friends at Seagle Funeral Home beginning one hour before the service.
