Dailey Henderson Smith

Dailey Henderson Smith, age 80 of Dublin, died Monday morning, March 29, 2021 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.  Dailey was an auto mechanic, and worked in various locations in Pulaski County, and was a graduate of Vo Tech, now New River Community College.  Dailey was born on August 10, 1940 in Pulaski County, and was the son of the late Thelma Lee Dailey Smith and Robert Henderson Smith.  He was a graduate of the 1959 class at Dublin High School, and was a member of the Mt. View United Methodist Church.  He loved NASCAR and followed and enjoyed local sports.

He is survived by a cousin:  JoAnn Lowman Childress of Roanoke, and her son Joe Childress also of Roanoke:  cousin, Bill Wallace of Brevard, NC:  Jim Wallace and Sherry, Ashley Borders of Richmond: special friend, Sheri Barnett of Pulaski County. 

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.  There will be no visiting at the funeral home.  The family would like extend their appreciation for their excellent nursing care to the nursing staff and doctor at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in the critical care unit.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.seaglefuneralhome.com  Arrangements by Seagle Funeral Home, Pulaski.
