Obituary
Chelvia Carden McCoy, 83, of Conover passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at her residence.
She was born January 27, 1940, in Pulaski County, VA to the late Everett Oral Carden and Sarah Gertrude Warf Carden. Chelvia was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed sewing and working crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewight McCoy and daughter, Tammy Young.

Grandchildren: Stacy Hopkins, Steven Hopkins, Blake Young and John Young
Great-Grandchildren: Seth Hopkins, Ayden Hopkins, Scarlete Hopkins, and Sawyer Hopkins
A graveside service to celebrate Chelvia’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Sifford Cemetery, 6235 Parrott Mountain Rd., Pulaski, VA 24132. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate.
