Guthrie Family,
Be assured of my prayers for you in these days.  I was fortunate enough
to be with your beloved husband/father when, as a member of a
committee on Presbytery, I met with Rev. Guthrie and the session
of Anderson Memorial.  He was a delightful and committee servant of God.

Met this man long ago when I was a child, but I remember how loving and kind he was. He and Miss Pat both. My heart goes out to her and all the family.

To my Children,
You had the best father anyone could have.  He loved you all so much, and would have given you his last dime if you needed it.  As David said, "He was my Google.  If I ever wanted to know anything, I would go to him, and if he didn't know the answer, he knew where to find it."

He was also the best husband that the Lord ever made, and I"m so thankful that He gave him to me for almost 60 years of marriage - but even more, for I loved him two years before we got married.  He has been the pillar of my earthly life, and I'm so glad that we traveled the spiritual road together.  We were one in Christ's Spirit, and that meant everything!  We will all miss him for too many reasons to count.  But we were a part of his life, and we will see him again.  His journey and his suffering are ended, and he is rejoicing with His Savior and those he loved here on earth who were also believers in Jesus!

I love all of you, my dear children.
