Joe Hambrick Covey, age 84 of Pulaski, died Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Dublin.  He was born on December 11, 1933 in Snowville, and was the son of the late Martha Dot Hambrick Covey and Ray R. Covey.  He was retired employee of Radford Army Ammunition Plant and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  In addition to his family he was preceded in death by two sons; Joe Douglas Covey, and Bradley Covey:  two brothers; Ellis Covey and Ray R. Covey,: and a sister; Grace Robinson.  He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Hazel Dalton Covey: two sons;  Dwight (Deby) Covey, and Winfield “Winky” (Dreama) Covey:  daughter; Sandra Merica: stepson:  Gary (Trish) Cregger; two step-daughters; Janet (Donald) Gregory and Leesa Quesenberry: one sister; Martha Dot Vanmeter, along with thirteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.  Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Kelly Howlett officiating.  Interment will follow in Thornspring cemetery with military honors.  The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.   A  special thanks to all the employee’s of Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center.

Hazel -- we are so sorry for your earthly loss but heaven gained a wonderful man. Prayers for peace and comfort for you and your family. Joe was a very special person.

Hazel and Family,
We did not know you for long but cared about you and your situation as we shared a lot of time together at Highland Ridge. You are both missed but we are happy for Joe and pray for your peace and strength for the days ahead.

To the family of this amazing man, I would like to send you my sincere condolences on this precious man. He was a blessing and a joy to get to work with. It wont be the same without our Joe. We love and will miss him. If there is anything we can do let us know. We love you all.

I was sorry to read about your loss of Joe. May you find comfort in the words of Jesus in (John 5:28, 29) "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life"
