Phyllis Whitaker Richardson, age 75 of Pulaski, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at her residence.  Phyllis was born on January 11, 1943 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Neva Ramsey Whitaker and John (Roy) Whitaker.  She worked at Virginia Maid Hosiery Mill for 21 years and at Renfro over 16 years.  She was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, and she loved her church family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Friederick W. Richardson (Fred).  She is survived by a very special family whom she loved so much: Son; Ricky Thomas and daughter Debbie Thomas of Pulaski:  two grandchildren; Duane Thomas and Amanda Fields (Matt), along with 5 great-grandchildren; Austin, Rylee, and Emberlynn Thomas, Vada Fields, and Camden Matney all of Pulaski.  Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Judy Yonce officiating.  Interment will follow in Hufford Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

I am so sorry to hear this. Phyllis was a wonderful person. She can be with Freddie now.
Debbie and Ricky y'all will be blessed for taking such good care of her. She loved you very much.

I’ll miss our chats over breakfast at Bojangle’s. What a pleasure it was to know you! I am happy that you don’t have to miss Freddie anymore. I love the way your obituary was written to include the family that you cherished so much. I love you, Phyllis! I believe we’ll see one another again one day.
