My sympathy for all the members of the Saltz family. "Bunny" was the best algebra teacher I ever had. Of course, he was more than that. Although I only knew him from my summer-school experience at George Wythe High School In Richmond (1962), I remember him with remarkable clarity today. He was everything a teacher and a man should be.

My prayers to the family and friends of Coach Saltz. I had him as a Math Teacher several years and George Wythe and loved his dry sense of humor. He made me laugh and he made me learn. May you all keep your memories of him alive by taking those memories out often. Rest in Peace, Coach!

Rest in peace Coach Saltz. You taught me a lot back in the 1960's when you coached basketball and taught math at George Wythe High School in Richmond. I have fond memories of those times back in the good old days.

I taught for Rhea Saltz at Salem Middle school for 2 years starting in 1979, when I moved to Richmond from Columbus, GA. My name then was Linda Currie, and with Rhea's recommendation, my husband and I bought a house right around the corner from him and Chime in Richmond's Woodland Heights. He was the best principal I ever worked for, standing up for his teachers when they deserved it instead of caving to the demands of the administrators or parents. It was a sad day for me when he moved to Pulaski, and I left teaching shortly after that. Chime, and family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Chime, So sorry for your loss and for all that you have endured with Rhea's decline and illness. I appreciate that you and Rhea have been such thoughtful, giving neighbors to my mom and dad through the years. Rhea helped them in so many ways, always happy to lend a hand, literally! I appreciate his help and direction in moving Emma Gallimore's piano to my house. His moving expertise was amazing! Love and Prayers, Linda Hawks

Just wanted to send my heartfelt condolences to all in the Saltz family, especially Rhea, David, and Lizabeth whom I grew up with in the Snead Road area.I have always had fond memories of Mr. Saltz as I played football for him at J.L.Francis Little League for three years with David as our Quarterback. We went undefeated all three years with a bunch of kids Mr. Saltz put together from Francis , and a Boys Home down the street from Hey Road. Mr. Saltz was also Vice Principal my last year at Salem Church Jr.High, before I went to Thomas Dale. I also want to send condolences to Chime, who I remember fondly as she was the lady who taught me how to drive as she was my Driver's Ed teacher my last year at Salem Church . With much sorrow, yours truly, Eddie Bagby.
