I'm very sad to hear of Jimmy's passing. Jimmy was a very active Special Olympics athlete. For 20+ years he participated in Special Olympics Unified Sports co sponsored by the IDA of the New River Valley. He was loved by his teammates and fans. Those of you that share wonderful stories and memories. Jimmy was a delightful, kind and warm person. He will be missed by many.

Jimmy was a jewel! We so enjoyed picking him up on Wednesday nights to take him to church. We had many nights of fun, laughter and even singing on the bus to which Jimmy enjoyed. He always shared the medals he had won as he proudly wore them. He will be so missed with the smile he always wore. Heaven gained a new angel.

I drove the church bus for Heritage Church and picked Jimmy up on Wednesday nights. He was such sweet person and we so enjoyed talking with him. We missed him on the bus after he got sick. It was such a pleasure and honor to have known Jimmy and pray for your peace in his passing.
